For an easy Sunday with children head to Descartes only 10 minutes from Les Limornières. Stop for a coffee, then wander around the market to buy a delicious picnic lunch & head off to the public garden which offers 5000m² bordering the fantastic river Creuse.

For a safari in the french countryside visit Parc de la Haute Touche, Obterre in La Brenne only 40 mins from Les Limornieres or take your little monkeys to the Valley of the Monkeys! Our favourite is a visit to check out Zoo Beauval , a really great day out which seems to attract as much high praise from parents as their children!
Many of the Chateaux in the Loire Valley cater particularly well for children of all ages in both the food on offer and the trails, activities and distractions en route.
Our favourite chateaux include Clos Lucé, Amboise (right) and the working lifesize models of his inventions...great fun for all ages!
From feeding the ducks, fishing or swimming there are beautiful lakes & rivers all around. Wildflower meadows & sunflowers as far as the eye can see!
Fantastic swimming pools are as close by as le Grand Pressigny 3km, during the summer months there is supervised swimming at Lesigny (10km) in the river Creuse.
The Brenne national park with its thousand lakes & wide variety of wildlife all around, offers a great day out for all the family with its many quiet flat routes in amongst the lakes or the lake at Bellebouche for swimming and other water activities.
