October News: Call it what you like, Fall, Autumn, automne, October certainly is the start of a great time of year here in central France. Sunny days followed by chilly evenings gives us the chance to stoke up the woodburners and fill up on all the delicious autumn food on offer!
This months sees us venturing to England for a few days for a family wedding (Nic's littlest bro) Isabella & Amelie had the very exciting prospect of being princesses for the day as bridesmaids with their cousin Luke as Pageboy - a great trip.
On 12th October, the Foire d'automne in le petit Pressigny sees us having our first splurge into off site plant sales..A good opportunity to meet new customers to keep us busy now we have the three gîtes ready for guests..
WINNERS! a certain Mme Nicole Crawford of Les Limornières was awarded 1st place in the 2008 Comice Agricole de l'Arrondissement de Loches pour sa maison fleurie! That's flowery house to you Brits or more accurately 1st prize for our garden for our district...dead chuffed and surprised!

We have a couple of new tenants at Les Limornières, a couple of farm cats have been donated by an overpopulated neighbour to live in our barn and help manage the autumn harvest influx of four legged non-paying guests.
They are nine-month old brothers, now named Tom and Jerry.. appear to climb like spiderman, eat ANYTHING that moves and have settled in very nicely.
